Alphabetical

Arvo Pärt’s alphabetical list of compositions

– The alphabetical list is based on the titles of the original versions of the works, that means the works in their original instrumentation. The new arrangements are listed chronologically right below the original version of the work. Usually, they share the same title, but there are exceptions, as in the case of In spe and An den Wassern …
– The title and the subtitle are separated by a full stop. The dates of the work’s completion and of revision(s), the reference to the biblical text and the instrumentation of the piece are marked in square brackets. The dates of their completion and of revision(s) are separated by a slash. Only the most recent version is valid.
– As to the titles, the slash also separates the work’s international (usually as published) and original title (corresponding to the composer’s manuscript). These double titles are used mainly for presenting earlier works (composed before 1980).
