10.09.2019

Creative associations in the field of architecture and the Estonian Cultural Endowment’s Architecture Foundation have selected the nominees for the 2019 Architecture Awards, the best of which will be awarded at the ceremony held in Tartu at the end of the year. Among the nominated projects are several public objects and city squares, restaurants, offices, private houses and exhibitions.

The building of the Arvo Pärt Centre, designed by architects Fuensanta Nieto and Enrique Sobejano, has been nominated for the 2019 awards of the Estonian Association of Architects and the Estonian Association of Interior Architects, and was also selected among the nominees for this year’s annual awards of the Estonian Cultural Endowment’s Architecture Foundation.

Close to 200 proposals were submitted this year for architecture awards, the greatest number of candidates ever. A total of 65 works were selected by the juries, and the winners will be announced at a joint award ceremony for the Estonian Association of Architects, the Estonian Association of Interior Architects, the Estonian Landscape Architects’ Union and Estonian Cultural Endowment Architecture Foundation on 6 December at Tartu Comb Factory.
