The Arvo Pärt Centre is joining the PAI initiative, calling for gratitude and appreciation to be expressed towards the nurses and care workers who are looking after our health and fighting at the forefront of the pandemic.
With the PAI initiative, PAI vouchers will be created, which nurses and carers can use in tourism and cultural and entertainment venues across Estonia that have joined the initiative, thus enabling nurses and care workers to take time out from their work and worries for a little break.
PAI is a citizen initiative – a real, visible and tangible expression of thanks to the nurses and carers who look after our health and fight for our lives in the pandemic, mostly doing all this invisibly.
There are nearly 17,000 nurses and care workers in Estonia. We want to give them our thanks with real heartfelt emotion, regardless of which city, county, hospital or care home they work in on a daily basis. The number of nurses and carers we will reach depends on everyone’s contribution.
Make a contribution:
The initiative is partnered with the Kuressaare Hospital Support Foundation, which will convert all the donations made without a surcharge into PAI vouchers. The Foundation has been added to the Estonian Tax and Customs Board’s list of organisations with income tax exemption as of 1 April 2021, which means the donations are exempt from tax, and donors are welcome to list the donations in their 2021 income tax declarations. Our partner COOP Bank has opened a dedicated account for the Kuressaare Hospital Support Foundation – donations to the initiative should be sent to account no. EE824204278618211200 (please include “PAI” in the payment description when making a donation). In cooperation with Telia, you can make a donation by calling 9000105 (a donation of €5) and 9000110 (a donation of €10).
