The official list of works includes only valid concert pieces and their arrangements, i.e. the works that have been approved for performances by the composer and which are available as published sheet music. See Universal Edition, Sikorski/Boosey & Hawkes and Edition Peters. The new arrangements are listed right below the original work. The author of the arrangement is indicated only if it is not Arvo Pärt.
The chronological order of the works composed in 1950s and 1960s is based on the opus numbers given by the composer, although later Pärt has abandoned their use. Since the 1970s, works written within the same year have been listed according to the time of completion.
