Registration Opens for the Arvo Pärt Centre’s First Choral Conducting Masterclass

The Arvo Pärt Centre will hold its first international masterclass from 8–11 April 2027. Dedicated to the choral music of Arvo Pärt and early vocal polyphony, the course for conductors will be led by Paul Hillier and George Parris, highly regarded performers and conductors of Pärt’s music. Participants will have the opportunity to conduct The Carice Singers, one of the United Kingdom’s outstanding chamber choirs.

50 Years Since the First Tintinnabuli Concert

Fifty years ago, on 27 October 1976, a historic concert took place, introducing audiences for the first time to Arvo Pärt’s new and original musical language, which he named tintinnabuli (tintinnabulum, Latin for “little bell”). To mark this anniversary, we are republishing music critic Immo Mihkelson’s article about this historic concert.
