Two Missas

At the concert of the mixed choir K.O.O.R, which has been active for 14 years, two contrasting masses will be performed in Laulasmaa: “Missa Tagore” by Pärt Uusberg and “A Little Jazz Mass” by Bob Chilcott. Pärt Uusberg’s piece was composed in 2018 and is inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s poem On the Seashore, that will now be heard in Estonian for the first time. The piece will be performed by the choir, vocal soloists, cello, and harp.
In contrast, Chilcott’s small jazz mass, written in a very different musical language, will feature the choir performing together with Urmas Lattikas Trio.
