Description
The 2025/2026 concert season has been exceptional in Estonian musical life. In addition to the celebrations marking the 90th birthday of Arvo Pärt, audiences were once again able to follow the competition Klassikatähed (Classical Stars) after a five-year pause, where six outstanding young Estonian musicians appeared on stage – Annabel Soode (soprano), Tuule-Helin Krigul (flute), Isabella Runge (clarinet), Harald Trass (guitar), Karl Martin Tombak (percussion) and Havryil Sydoryk (piano). All of them are talented soloists and vibrant chamber musicians who, following the competition, have continued actively either with their studies or with work in orchestras, and therefore we have had relatively few opportunities to hear them in public concerts.
Throughout its activities, the Arvo Pärt Centre has always considered it important not only to present established musicians but also to highlight the brilliant interpreters of the younger generation. To conclude our 8th concert season, we therefore wish to bring all the musicians who performed in the final of Klassikatähed back onto the same stage. This concert offers an opportunity to enjoy their shared music-making in various ensembles and to bring the season to a festive close.
