Description
We invite you to explore silence and sound at the Arvo Pärt Centre on Museum Night. Our doors are open from 18:00 until 23:00. Visitors can join tours and follow the journey from the green rooms to the stage and even to the staff-only area of the centre, where archiving as well as exhibition and programme preparation take place every day. At 21:00, there is a chance to watch the movie “And Then Came the Evening and the Morning” by Estonian director Dorian Supin, who has documented Arvo Pärt the most, on the big screen in the hall of the centre. Now more than 30 years old, this movie is becoming an increasingly valuable period piece over time, offering a glimpse into Arvo Pärt’s life away from Estonia in the late 1980s. The permanent exhibitions and the café are open throughout Museum Night.
