A silver medal to Arvo Pärt from the artist-engraver Viktor Kuik

20.11.2015

On 20 November, a cordial meeting took place at Laulasmaa – the artist-engraver Viktor Kuik gave Arvo Pärt a silver medal, created in his honour. Viktor Kuik has created medals for many great Estonian men and has also engraved every Estonian manor (almost 350) and one hundred churches in copper.

The engraver visited the Arvo Pärt Centre with the bibliophile and collector of artistic bookbinding, Enn Jaanisoo, who gave the centre his book “Aja- ja kultuurilooliste köidete kollektsioon” (“A collection of historical and cultural bookbinding”).

The Centre will be closed on April 30, May 1 and May 21-22. On May 4, the Centre is open from 14.30 to 18.00. We apologise for any inconvenience.
