A silver medal to Arvo Pärt from the artist-engraver Viktor Kuik

20.11.2015

On 20 November, a cordial meeting took place at Laulasmaa – the artist-engraver Viktor Kuik gave Arvo Pärt a silver medal, created in his honour. Viktor Kuik has created medals for many great Estonian men and has also engraved every Estonian manor (almost 350) and one hundred churches in copper.

The engraver visited the Arvo Pärt Centre with the bibliophile and collector of artistic bookbinding, Enn Jaanisoo, who gave the centre his book “Aja- ja kultuurilooliste köidete kollektsioon” (“A collection of historical and cultural bookbinding”).

On August 7 and 8, we recommend driving to the center through Keila, as the Ironman competition taking place that weekend, will close a large part of Paldiski mnt and the road between Keila-Joa and Vääna.
