Arvo Pärt Awarded the Title of Inspirer of the Year

Arvo Pärt was awarded the title of Inspirer of the Year, which recognizes a person or an organization that has made an outstanding contribution to the innovative development of Estonian society. The title is awarded by the Estonian IT company OIXIO and the Estonian Business School.

The Inspirer of the Year award and the accompanying symbolic fruit tree were ceremoniously presented by President Alar Karis at the OIXIO Inspiration Day held today, May 8. The award was accepted on behalf of Arvo Pärt by Anu Kivilo, CEO of the Arvo Pärt Centre.

The aim of the award is to recognize creative solutions and initiatives in Estonia, inspire society to be innovative, value contributions that promote Estonia’s development and competitiveness, and highlight role models who motivate others to create positive changes.

The jury for the title included Ivo Suursoo, CEO of OIXIO Group, Jari Kukkonen, Head of the Estonian Business School Executive Education, and Kristi Vinter-Nemvalts, Chairwoman of the Board of the foundation SA TI-Hüpe (AI Leap).

The title of Inspirer of the Year is being awarded for the second year in a row, with AI Leap receiving the award in 2025.
