Andrew Keese & Julian Lyngcoln. “Illuminator”

Experience an evening of contemporary ambient music as Australian pianist, composer and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Keese performs compositions from his second album “Minutiae” and his new album “Illuminator” accompanied by Julian Lyngcoln.

Known for his evocative blend of neoclassical piano, post-rock textures and electronic experimentation, Keese’s music has drawn comparisons to Nils Frahm, Brian Eno, Aphex Twin and Max Richter.

Building on the sparse beauty of his 2023 release “Minutiae”, “Illuminator” – composed almost entirely during a 2024 residency at the Arvo Pärt Centre – is a deep, intricate work that merges piano with synthesised orchestral layers and rhythmic electronics.

Performed live with piano, synthesizer and programmed backing tracks, listeners will be taken on a unique sonic journey that dissolves the line between the acoustic and the electronic.
