Ensemble Vox Clamantis brings the new choral music of one of America’s best-known and most performed composers, David Lang, on the stage together with works of Arvo Pärt. Compiled in 2022, the collection “Song of Songs” combines compositions mainly from 2021, and the composer was inspired by the biblical “Song of Songs” when creating the texts – they are longing, intimate images of love amidst beauty and peace. The song “we were” was written for the ensemble Vox Clamantis, who will present it to the Estonian audience for the first time during the Pärt Days festival.
