Concert-workshop for flutists

Description

Concert / Lecture / Workshop in cooperation with the Estonian Flute Association.

At 13.00, a lecture-master class will take place in the hall of the Arvo Pärt Center, aimed mainly for the members of the Estonian Flute Association (both flute students and professional flutists) but is also open to wider audience.

The co-operation between the Estonian and Swiss Flute Associations aims to develop relations and exchange the experiences of Swiss and Estonian flute players in the repertoire for flute ensembles and orchestras as well as to analyze different flute schools.
The program will include an overview of the development of the flute ensembles, the repertoire and the use of different instruments, as well as the specifics and demonstration of the low instruments. Some of the works are analyzed in more detail and examples from different repertoires will be performed together, including Wil Offerman’s “Eternal Winds” and Eugene Magalif’s “Colibri”.

The event will be followed by a concert at 5 pm, all participants are welcome.
