Description


The programme of the duo Monika Mattiesen (flutes) and Michael Wendeberg (piano) “Currents” will be framed by the works of contemporary music classic Pierre Boulez, whose work is inspired by the deep currents of modern music. Works composed specially for the duo by internationally known Estonian, Latvian and Finnish composers Helena Tulve, Ülo Krigul, Ville Raasakka and Jānis Petraškevičs will have their Estonian or world premiers at this concert.

Helena TULVE – Feathers Falling for solo flute (world premiere)
Liisa HIRSCH – Cloud tones for piano glides and MIDI controller
Ville RAASAKKA – A Hand as light as if holding a leaf (world premiere)
Ülo KRIGUL – streeeeeeeeeech for bass flute, piano and phonogramme (Estonian premiere)
Jānis PETRAŠKEVIČS – Strāvas (Currents) for flute and piano (Estonian premiere)
Pierre BOULEZ – Sonatine for flute and piano

 

Transfer Tallinn-Arvo Pärdi Keskus-Tallinn

Book a transfer from Tallinn to Laulasmaa. At 4:00 p.m., the vehicle leaves Tallinn, Haabersti Cirkle K parking lot (Paldiski mnt 106)* and arrives at the Arvo Pärt Center 25 minutes before the start of the event. The return journey starts from the parking lot of the center 15 minutes after the end of the concert and takes you to the original meeting place.
