How to Understand History?

Professor David Vseviov discusses the specifics of history as a science and whether there are regularities in the unfolding of history or it is a series of random events. He also shares his thoughts on whether we can learn from history and to what extent the past is the creation of the present.

David Vseviov is a professor emeritus at the Estonian Academy of Arts, author of several books and numerous scientific and essay articles, as well as presenter of the radio series “Mystical Russia”.

The lecture will be in Estonian and is open to all those interested.
