Description
On the evening of Silent Saturday, the ensemble Floridante will perform François Couperin’s “Leçons de ténèbres” (“Lessons of Darkness”) cycle, traditionally performed during the Holy Week.
Floridante started performing in January 2014 as a four-piece ensemble. Today, Floridante brings together several dozen Estonian musicians with a deep interest in performing early repertoire. Although the “godfather” of Floridante is one of Handel’s operatic characters, the ensemble’s mission is to bring to the audience, alongside the well-known German high baroque, good music from the 16th to the 18th century.
On April 19, the Centre will be closed for holidays; however, we will open an hour before the concert at 16:00. Please note that the café will be closed on this day.
