Description
The season opening concert at the Arvo Pärt Center will feature a large program of chamber music, which is rarely performed in concert halls. The Estonian Wind Quintet, an ensemble consisting of acclaimed performers, and four famous string players will bring the nonets of Louis Spohr and Bohuslav Martinů to the audience, and the evening will open with Lepo Sumera’s soulful work “A Game for Wind Instruments”.
The international Estonian Wind Quintet includes flutist Heili Rosin-Leivategija, oboist Guido Gualandi, clarinetist Soo-Young Lee, bassoonist Peeter Sarapuu and horn player Jürnas Rähni. The quintet will be joined by string virtuosos Hans Christian Aavik, Andres Kaljuste, Indrek Leivategija and Regina Udod.
