Exhibition “Hommage to Arvo Pärt” by the leatherwork artists is open

08.09.2015

From 5 to 11 September, an exhibition “Hommage to Arvo Pärt” is open at the St. Katherine’s church in Tallinn by the Estonian leatherwork and biding artists. The idea for the exhibition was born from the artists wish to honor and congratulate Arvo Pärt on his 80th birthday.

The exhibition presents works relating to or based on the music of Arvo Pärt, including scores, CDs, textbooks and installations. The heart of the exposition is a book of congratulations where all visitors are invited to write their personal greetings and good wishes to the composer. After the exhibition closes, the book will be presented to Arvo Pärt.

The artists participating in the exihibition are Tiia Eikholm, Illu Erma, Külli Grünbach-Sein, Eve Hintsov, Eve Kaaret, Heino Kivihall, Pille Kivihall, Helen Maran-Poll, Mari Maripuu, Piret Männa, Tiina Piisang, Anne Rudanovski, Tulvi-Hanneli Turo, Maarja Undusk and Merle Visak.

Exhibition and the book of congratulations will be open from 5 to 11 September from 12 – 7 pm.
