Veljo Tormis, one of the greatest masters in Estonian music, celebrates his 85th birthday on 7 August. Arvo Pärt joins us in warm wishes to his good colleague, having also spent some years as a student of Tormis during studies at the Tallinn Music School. We wish the Maestro a wonderful day, hoping that these years filled with music, a searching spirit and numerous listeners and performers from around the world, will bring joy to every day.
