Description

From 12 to 14 May the Arvo Pärt Centre will host a master class by David James, an outstanding countertenor, one of the most sensitive performers of Arvo Pärt’s music and a long-time member of The Hilliard Ensemble. The master class will be attended by students of voice studies and choir conducting from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre for whom this master class is an opportunity to polish their chamber music performance skills.

The master class will end on Saturday, 14 May at 4 pm with a public concert-talk where countertenor David James and Kristina Kõrver from the Arvo Pärt Centre will have a discussion (in English) about communication between the performer and the listener and about the experiences of performing Pärt’s music, with some of the music performed live by the master class participants.
