Description
Karolina x … concerts are like small musical chapters – moments where the intimacy of chamber music, the sensitive collaboration between performers, and a living musical thought create a space for listening, reflection, and discovery. In these evenings, mastery and sincerity, silence and sound meet, and the audience can witness that rare moment when music is born here and now.
The series is led by pianist Karolina Aavik, whose musical journey is characterized by a deep dedication to chamber music and a special sensitivity in ensemble playing. Her performances have been praised for their clarity of thought, colorful sound world, and natural musical expression. Karolina: “Sitting at the piano, I have always felt that the deepest meaning of music emerges precisely when it is created and experienced together – from one soul to another.”
In the first concert of the series, Karolina Aavik is joined by the acclaimed Estonian cellist Theodor Sink. He is one of the most outstanding performers of his generation, whose playing is marked by a rich tonal culture, technical mastery, and a distinctive musical sensitivity. As both a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed in Estonia and on international stages, and has been associated for many years with the Estonian Festival Orchestra and the Pärnu Music Festival, where he has collaborated with numerous world-class conductors and musicians.
