The path to one’s own music

On a tour through the rooms of the Centre, we will get an overview of Arvo Pärt’s life and work. We will listen to a few of Arvo Pärt’s works together and, focusing on one composition, follow the composer’s path from his first ideas to a finished piece. We will also reflect on the performance and recording of music, as well as the search for the most suitable sound. Additionally, we will examine the composer’s musical manuscripts and gain insight into archival work.

The programme is two hours. Upon request, the students can look around the building independently after the programme. There is a 300-metre forest path leading from the parking lot to the building. Please consider this in your schedule and dress accordingly.

Our educational programmes are run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, upon pre-registration. If necessary, we can be flexible and will try to accommodate your wishes.

Price: 12 euros per student; free of charge for two teachers accompanying the group. The minimum number of participants is 10 children, and the maximum is 50 children.

Please register your visit at least two weeks in advance by contacting info@arvopart.ee.

We are looking forward to welcoming you!
