Janek joined the Arvo Pärt Centre team in November 2025, having already had a long-standing working relationship with the Centre, including as a contributor and adviser to the opening events of its new building.
He studied theology at the University of Tartu and business management at the Estonian Business School (EBS). Since 1995, his day-to-day work has involved producing a wide range of events and developing cultural programmes. He has served as technical director for Robert Wilson’s production of Adam’s Passion, developed the brand and concept for the Viscosa Culture Factory and organised its events, as well as creating and leading the concept for the Christmas Gala at Unibet Arena. He has also worked as a producer for several musical ensembles.
At the Arvo Pärt Centre, Janek is responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships and contributing to event organisation.
